ISP Officer Faces Multiple Charges

A 19-year veteran of the Idaho State Police has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of a criminal case against him involving allegations of theft, forgery and fraud. Daniel Howard was placed on administrative leave in December, according to a news release from the ISP. Kootenai County investigators began building a case against Howard in October after finding a home with damage near Athol they believed he was responsible for, the Sheriff’s Office said in its own news release. Detectives later established probable cause to charge Howard with multiple counts of theft, forgery and title fraud for actions occurring in both Kootenai and Bonner counties/SR. More here.
