Trib: Jeers To Wannabe Eynon

In his weekly Cheers & Jeers column, opinionator Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune gives Jeers ... to John Eynon: "Say this about the Cottonwood music and drama school teacher who is among four Republicans seeking to succeed Tom Luna as the state schools superintendent: He makes Luna look good. Elect him and you'll know exactly what you're getting - an ardent foe of early childhood education. Speaking to the City Club of Boise Monday, Eynon dismissed compulsory kindergarten - an odd thing to say since nobody has suggested taking such a step. Former Gov. Cecil D. Andrus' hard-won victory to create public school kindergarten in the 1970s leaves it to Idaho parents to decide whether to enroll their children in what remains a half-day program. But when it comes to helping preschoolers, Idaho does nothing"/Marty Trillhaase, Lewiston Tribune. More here.

Question: Can we all agree that John Eynon is the one GOPrimary candidate that won't get our vote May 20?
