Roetter: They Don’t Want You To Vote

In a letter sent to Huckleberries Online, local GOPrecinct Committeeman Matt Roetter explains how the leadership of the county Republican Party are in favor of repealing the 17th amendment (in other words eliminating your right to directly vote for U.S. senators): "On November 26, 2013 during the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee monthly meeting, by resolution and roll call vote, the majority of the committee including all of the leadership voted to eliminate your right to vote for your US Senators. The vote was taken by roll call which means that a written record was entered into the meeting minutes which clearly identifies each committee member that voted to eliminate your right to vote for your US Senators. The KCRCC resolution and roll call vote can be viewed at http://northidahopac.org/ . Why do the majority and the leadership of the committee want to eliminate your right to vote?" You can read whom Roetter names as favoring the repeal of the 17th amendent here.

Question: Does it worry you that leaders of the local Republican Party and more than half the Republican candidates for legislative office in Kootenai County are so extreme that they support the repeal of the 17th amendment (direct election of U.S. senators)?
