On Page A7 in today's Coeur d'Alene Press, a half-page ad is running endorsements three candidates for Legislative District 3 — Pat Whalen for Senate and Terry Werner and Greg Gfeller for House. Of interest are the individuals pictured above a photo of the candidates superimposed in front of the Idaho Capitol building. Underneath the caption “We've been there. We know the challenges.” Pictured are state Rep. Frank Henderson and former legislators Freeman Duncan, Marge Chadderdon, Jim Hammond, Dick Compton and Jack Riggs. Riggs, of course, left his Senate seat to accept an appointment as the state's lieutenant governor.
