Poll: Debate Hurt Idaho’s Image

  • Weekend Poll: A plurality of Hucks Nation said that Gov. Butch Otter hurt Idaho's image by insisting that colorful fringe candidates Harley Brown & Walt Byers be included in the gubernatorial debate. 62 of 174 respondents (35.63%) took that position. 48 of 174 (27.5%) said Otter was being a crafty politician to insist that the two men be part of his debate with main challenger Russ Fulcher. 20 of 174 (11.49%) said they're going to vote for Harley Brown now. 17 of 174 (9.77%) said the event was "fun." 27 (15.52%) said "all of the above."
  • "Normal Guy" Poll: 82 of 176 respondents (46.59%) to secondary poll Friday said none of the individuals involved in guv debate should be considered a "normal guy," a reference Harley Brown made to Russ Fulcher. 40 of 176 (22.73%) said Otter best fit description of "normal guy"; 32 (18.18%) voted for Fulcher; 18 (10.23%) for Brown; and 4 (2.27%) for Bayes.
  • Today's Poll: Do you think last-minute attack ads, fliers and/or robo-calls are effective?
