Idaho Clerks Ready For Gay Marriage?

Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon, center, could be on the hot seat if/when Idaho county clerks are directed to issue marriage licenses to same-sex partners. Brannon is shown with Gary Ingram, left, and former county coroner Jim West listening to governor's debate at Coeur d'Alene Library Friday. (HucksOnline has a call in to Brannon to ask about today's 9th Circuit ruling.)

Dan of the Community (RE: Idaho gay marriage ban struck down): I imagine there are some interesting discussions going on around the state at the 44 county clerks offices. As an FYI, marriage licenses are issued by the County Clerk via the Recorder's Office. I think I remember seeing an article earlier this year that the Idaho Association of Counties was providing training to all of them so they probably have a system ready to go in case a ruling like this came down.

Question: Will this ruling put Republican County Clerk Jim Brannon in a bind with Bob Pedersen and his Rally Right supporters?
