Letter: Brannon Wrong To Rally

I am writing this letter to express my displeasure at the fact that Kootenai County Clerk Jim Brannon attended a rally recently opposing same sex marriage. As of Wednesday, Oct. 14 same-sex marriage is legal in Idaho. Although our governor will most likely attempt a futile appeal, the Clerk of the County is obligated to the law and the Ninth District Court nullified the ban in Idaho and so County Clerk Brannon has to abide with the statute whether he likes it or not. He will certainly not be getting my vote Nov. 4 as he does not seem to understand the separation between what he may believe morally and abiding by the actual law/R. Bruns, Coeur d'Alene, letter to the editor, Coeur d'Alene Press.

Question: Doesn't County Clerk Jim Brannon have a right to assemble with whom he wants?
