Raul Pushes Vote On Islamic State

Rep. Raul Labrador, a Tea Party favorite, is calling for Congress to debate and vote on further military action against the extremist group calling itself the Islamic State. Labrador thinks President Obama needs to sketch out a well-defined mission with a clear exit strategy in order to win Congressional support in his forthcoming speech to the nation. “If he’s going to go beyond the initial strikes, he needs to come to Congress,” Labrador told Here & Now’Robin Young. “He needs to get approval from us, he needs to get authorization. That’s what the Constitution requires and we need to have a robust debate on what we are going to be doing in that region”/KBSX 91.5. More here.

Question: Should President Obama seek congressional approval before expanding our current role in Iraq?
