Merica (RE: Whippings part of Peterson childhood): I'm tired of Adrian Peterson being the jumping off point for a discussion on corporal punishment. Adrian Peterson used a switch that lacerated a 4 year old boy on his buttocks, the back of his legs, his thighs and his scrotum. The lacerations broke the skin and caused the boy to bleed. If you want to discuss spankings -- okay let's discuss it. But acting as though the case of Adrian Peterson is a case of treading on parental rights or is a situation of political correctness run amok is wrong. Google the pictures of the child, then let's chat about whether or not this truly is an issue of a loving dad disciplining his child.

Thoughts?
