Pick 6: Shadle Park Vs. Lake City

Greg Lee (pictured), the region's veteran prep sports scribe, and sports director Sam Adams of KHQ/SWX are back at it again this week, as they match wits in predicting this weekend's high school football games. The two see Coeur d'Alene High rolling over Moses Lake. But they're split on the Shadle Park visit to Lake City High. Greg has the T-Wolves winning by 2 in a high-scoring shootout. Sam has Shadle Park winning by 3. Here's what they say about the game:

  • Lee: This could be a donnybrook and the best game in the region the first three weeks of the season. Both teams have skill players, and Lake City has the best speed. It’s Shadle quarterback Brett Rypien vs. the Timberwolves’ speed. Neither team will be able to stop the other. LC 50, Shadle 48.
  • Adams: Lake City has never seen a quarterback like Brett Rypien. Anyone who lives in CdA knows I’ve been on board with LC for the last few years, but for some reason I can’t shake the feeling that the Highlanders will win in a high-scoring shootout. Shadle 52, LC 49.

Greg and Sam offer their predictions for six area games here. You can see a video of them discussing the Pick 6 games here.
