Hitching Posts Continues Suit

At KXLY, Caiti Currie reports:

Despite being told they won't have to perform same sex weddings, the Hitching Post, a Coeur d'Alene marriage chapel, is moving forward with a federal lawsuit. The Hitching Post wants the city to pay them for wages lost during the time they thought the city was going to force them to perform weddings. The Hitching Post made their stance on gay marriage very clear last year when the initial ban was overturned. Last May they said they would close their doors if they were forced to perform same sex marriages. Now, almost a year later, they amidst a legal battle with the city, saying Coeur d'Alene is violating their First Amendment right to religious freedom, something owners Don and Evelyn Knapp believe is in jeopardy with Idaho now allowing same sex marriages. More here.

Question: Why do you think the Hitching Post is pursuing this federal lawsuit against Coeur d'Alene?
