KXLY Denied Camera Access
KXLY's Melissa Luck tweets that a 1st District Court judge blocked her Spokane news team from filming today's court hearing for Joseph Bekken, the former North Idaho College financial aid director who is accused of offering aid for sex. In response to a question, Melissa followed by stating: "I understand it's their discretion. I just hate that they don't have to explain why." (Twitter photo of KXLY's Melissa Luck)
DFO: I agree that a judge should explain why he isn't granting access to photographers and film crews. And that such access should be the norm rather than the exception. Thoughts?
