DOTC Tapped For Habitat Job

Former Kootenai County Clerk Dan English has been chosen to lead Habitat for Humanity of North Idaho. English starts June 1 as executive director of the nonprofit housing organization. "I get kind of revitalized by doing community involvement in something I feel is meaningful," English said Monday. "I'm a good salesman for a cause that I believe in." Michaelle Sande, the chair of Habitat of North Idaho's board of directors, said the organization did a nationwide search for a new executive director. She is pleased the search led to a local person/David Cole, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.

DFO: So this means that former county clerk Dan English is now executive director for Habitat for Humanity and former Habitat for Humanity executive director Jim Brannon is now county clerk. Is Habitat for Humanity some sort of political pipeline?
