Wild Card/Thursday — 4.29.15

I'm now 1 for 2 in rescuing birds that have fallen down my chimney. Several weeks ago, I was able to corner one in the back of my wood stove and save it. But the latest escapade didn't end so well last night. Before I could figure out how to retrieve a second starling from a small compartment at the top of the wood stove, it had died. Good thing I haven't been burning wood this last few weeks. But I suspect I need to climb to the top of the chimney to figure out why I'm being invaded by birds. I'm getting too old for this stuff. Here's your Thursday Wild Card ...
