DFO: Silver Lining In Stupid Vote?

My 2 Cents: Maybe there's a silver lining to that goofy 9-8 vote by the House Judiciary & Rules Committee to kill the Child Support services bill. Maybe voters in the districts affected by the involved elected officials will wake up. Hey, Coeur d'Alene voters awakened to dump the Radical Right School Board after it had misfired for 2 years ...

ITD Project Slows I-90 Traffic 14

That slowdown along e/b I-90 @ H41/Post Falls is being caused by a project by the Idaho Transportation Department to install a "weigh in motion" facility near the Highway 41 overpass. The current slowdown has nothing to do with the Greensferry Project, which will include a lane closure at night April 21-22.

Worst Job? Newspaper Reporter

Oh great, now they tell me. A story promoted by Romanesko.com blog says that the job of newspaper reporter has slipped from No. 199 of 200 (2014), just behind lumberjack, to dead last this year. Other media jobs rank almost as poorly. I'm glad I spent the majority of my career when things were a little better professionally.

Writing for the Idaho Conservation League, Susan Drumheller of Sandpoint has a message for the twoKootenai County Commissioners Marc Eberlein and David Stewart: Many of us have been attracted to North Idaho by the quality of the water found here. Poll: It's 'Core Da Lane'

The French may pronounce the name of the Lake City as "Kur" d'Alene. But Hucks Nation overwhelmingly pronounces it "Core" d'Alene. So that should settle that. Today's Poll: Should Gov. Butch Otter follow through on threat to veto $95 million road bill because it taps into general fund money?

Edit: Otter Should Veto Road Bill

A bad road bill is worse than no road bill at all, opines Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase of the Lewiston Tribune. Trillhaase said the Idaho Senate was wrong in going along with the House in writing a bill that dips into the general fund, the source of money for schools, welfare, public safety, etc. He calls on Gov. Otter to veto the road bill ...

Sholeh's right...
