Idaho OKs Direct Path To College

Being admitted to college may have just gotten a little easier for many of Idaho's high school seniors. Members of the Idaho State Board of Education unanimously approved a proposal Tuesday during a meeting in Meridian to conditionally admit high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA to any of the state's eight public universities and colleges.

Idaho SAT Scores Drop Slightly

At Idaho Education News, Kevin Richert reports that Idaho SAT scores dropped slightly in April -- and the decrease was most pronounced in math. The Coeur d'Alene Charter Academy again posted the highest scores in the state, averaging 1,858 for 60 test-takers.

DISH Users Lose KXLY Access 

DISH Network television subscribers in Spokane have lost access to KXLY-TV because the two companies couldn’t agree on the price of broadcasting. KXLY said in a statement that thousands of viewers are affected by the decision, which blocks access to the station’s local news, college football and ABC programming.

A fire official sent the following email to Huckleberries Online re: the report on AM Scanner Traffic that vandals had destroyed the umbrellas at the Harbor House.
