Veteran has had it with local GOPCC
Here's the resignation submitted by Idaho GOPrecinct 70 Committeeman Andrew Whipple to Chairman Neil Oliver of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee. Whipple, a public school teacher who has served his country in the Middle East, told Huckleberries that he simply couldn't take the craziness and division he has seen on the Central Committee:
Please accept my resignation as Precinct 70 Committeeman. I have never felt accepted as a public school teacher in the ranks of my fellow GOPers. Even though I served 20 years as an Army Officer, was a member of the Young Republicans in High School and College, am a member of the VFW, the American Legion, and a good Christian, I just don't feel like I fit in. I see that someone introduced a resolution calling for schools to make sure students have to read the Magna Carta, Mayflower Compact, etc. Just so you know....those documents as well as many others are read by students at public schools. But of course, many of you think of Public schools as the devil and hell bent on promoting liberalism and all sorts of evils.
Dear Chairman,
Please accept my resignation as Precinct 70 Committeeman. I really believe that many of the Republicans are brain washed in North Idaho and controlled by puppet strings at the hands of just a few individuals. I plead for you to think for yourselves. In addition, the infighting within the ranks of our GOP has lead to so much division, just like we're seeing at the national level. Thanks for serving as Chair. You hold a tough position and I respect you for how you handle yourself, You don't have to read this to the KCRC.....I just wanted to let you know what's going on."
