I never bothered with Sadie Hawkin's dances, but it worked well for this couple. Even if she had to use smarts instead of speed to catch him. Have any high school dance memories to share?

Too much of a good thing? You be the judge. A storm that dumped 4 feet of snow in the days before Christmas knocked down about 100 trees on cross-country ski and snowshoe trails in the Idaho Park N’ Ski system. It left parking lots clogged and ungroomed trails with knee-deep snow in some areas.

It’s time for another look at the Seahawks’ weekly stats and where they rank as we head into the final game of the regular season with Seattle still on track to break or near a number of franchise records. How far do you think the Seahawks will go this year?

Have you ever had a job that negatively impacted your health? People often like to groan about how their job is "killing" them. COEUR d'ALENE — Snow and ice piled up recently on sidewalks and some businesses and property owners failed to keep them cleared. Pedestrians noticed. "None of the businesses in Coeur d'Alene think it's their job," said Rene Hall, 50, of Coeur d'Alene. Huge pet peeve of mine. Why don't people shovel their sidewalks?

I've been immersed in a home-organization project, filling a bin for each son with childhood mementos etc. I came across #3 son wishes as dictated to he preschool teacher. Let's just say, he was granted one of them.

COEUR d'ALENE — A 74-year-old U.S. Coast Guard veteran filed court documents saying he wants to spend time in jail rather than pay a fine for allegedly using bait to hunt last month. Tacoma resident James L. Brummett — who is disabled from Agent Orange exposure, depression and heart problems — said he plans to plead guilty to the misdemeanor hunting citation if his recent motion to dismiss the case is denied.

frumhelenback posted this on yesterday's Wild Card. The State of Idaho is refusing to reform Medicaid because they don't like Obama's Affordable Care Act. As a result of the cuts they will be making, my grandson will be affected, along with other adults who have had disabilities since childhood.

A call for a meeting to discuss party unity by the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee has ruffled some feathers. A resolution, "A Call For Party Unity," is on the agenda but will not be distributed prior. “I keep asking them what the resolution is, but they won’t give it to me in advance,” said Kellie Palm, who sits on the committee. “

Are you one of the thousands who've enjoyed watching eagles soar over Lake Coeur d'Alene? A river of I-90 eastbound traffic roars by, snow and ice whipped into a mushy froth. A dozen or so yards away Lake Coeur d’Alene lies tranquilly in the embrace of winter. Above both the traffic, and the water, float nearly a dozen American bald eagles.

As the mom of 4 active sons who played most every sport aside from rugby, the two things that made me most nervous were skateboarding and sledding. The park near our house is fine, but when my husband took them to parks with steeper hills, I stayed home. Made me too nervous. Have you or your kids ever been injured while sledding?
