GOP Debate: Trying to ignore Trump 45 

Confronted with the durable phenomenon known as Donald Trump, the leading Republican presidential candidates tried a new tack Tuesday night: ignore him. Trump didn’t go anywhere, of course. Attacks did flow in from candidates who found themselves farther from center stage than ever -– including, notably, Jeb Bush.

Coeur d’Alene’s Design Review Commission will get an eyeful of hotel rooms when it meets Thursday. Renderings of Hagadone Hospitality’s proposed 12-story guest room tower joining The Coeur d’Alene Resort will be scrutinized when the commission meets for the second time on the plan Thursday.

3 inches of snow greets commuters

Inland Northwest residents awoke to about three inches of snow, leading to school delays and closures and multiple accidents. The Washington State Patrol was warning drivers of especially icy conditions west of Spokane on Interstate 90 and state Highway 2.
