Bob Colonna, Silver Valley activist, RIP

From Barbara White of the Silver Valley Community Resource Center:

"The children of Dr. Bob Colonna, PhD.,  79, social justice, environmental activist a huge advocate for the affected children and families of the Bunker Hill Superfund site and author has notified the Silver Valley Community Resource Center that he passed away on Dec. 14 in California.

"For more than a decade he spent time in Idaho assisting in an extraordinary manner to speak out for the rights of the vulnerable who live in the largest Superfund site in the nation. In spite of poor health, (a quadruple heart bypass and battling Parkinson’s disease) he put those concerns aside to lend his professional and personal expertise to hundreds of individuals from every walk of life.

"The Silver Valley is a better place because of his dedication. His sense of adventure, desire to take on new challenges are what brought him to Idaho from the San Francisco an area that he dearly loved, resided and worked for many years of his life." More here. (Photo: Goetzman Studio)
