Coeur d’Alene police vehicle hit

When two Coeur d’Alene police officers stopped Tuesday night to investigate a downed tree on Seltice Way, their patrol vehicle was hit from behind by a passenger truck. Both officers were evaluated at Kootenai Health and treated for minor injuries, a news release from the police department said. The officers had stopped on Seltice Way near Grand Mill Lane around 7:45 p.m. to investigate the tree, which was partially blocking the road. Their vehicle was hit by a truck headed west on Seltice, driven by a teenage boy whose name was not released. The young man was not injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Idaho State Police are investigating the incident/SR.
