Huckleberries: Dixon’s NRA Crush

At the Lewiston Tribune, Opinion Editor Marty Trillhaase had harsh words for newby state Rep. Sage Dixon, R-Ponderay. Dixon? He’s the freshman legislator who showed his appreciation for NRA support during his 2014 campaign by sponsoring a successful bill for a “Friends of the NRA” specialty license plate. Trillhaase gave Dixon a “jeer” in his weekly “Cheers & Jeers” column for pandering to the NRA (as most GOP legislators do). And we quote Marty: “Just sell your vote to the highest bidder. Which is great if you happen to be one of the state’s most influential lobbies. If, on the other hand, you happen to be a citizen with nothing more to offer than a vote, you’re out in the cold.” It’s not surprising that Dixon sold a piece of his soul to the NRA. Rather, it’s surprising that 10 Senate Republicans voted against Dixon’s bill/DFO, Sunday Huckleberries column. More here.

Question: Do you have a specialty plate or vanity plate or you vehicle?
