Tuesday Poll: Overwhelmingly, Hucks Nation doesn't share the paranoia of all things federal government expressed by Kootenai County GOP Reps. Sims, Barbieri & Cheatham in voting against the giant salamander as state amphibian. 127 of 151 respondents (84.11%) said there would be no federal government overreach if the Idaho Legislature designated the salamander at state amphibian. Only 18 of 151 respondents (11.92%) sided with Sims, Barbieri & Cheatham, who voted against the salamander in the House State Affairs Committee, fearing it could attain endangered species status, causing federal government overreach. 6 (3.97%) were undecided.
