Sara: 2nd Resort Tower Will Destroy View

Sara Meyer (RE: Hagadone seeks street vacation): From what I've read and heard I'm opposed to the city vacating the air rights above the resort sky bridge. If a 19 story tower is built above the current sky bridge it will block all mountain views looking down Front and it will create a huge wall between City Park, McEuen Park and the rest of downtown. I know that the pedestrian walkway will remain but the feel will be completely different. Instead of walking in the open air you'll be walking through a tunnel instead. I'm all for economic development and job growth but there has to be a better way in my opinion. I really hope the council takes their time on this and doesn't make a quick decision. (Above) is a picture I took this morning looking down Front. If a tower is built, you can kiss this view of the mountains goodbye forever.
