ISP Catches Bank Robbery Suspect

A 32YO Alaska suspect, wanted in connection with the robbery of the Horizon Credit Union in Ponderay July 7, was arrested during a traffic stop late Friday afternoon. Karl E. Erickson, of Palmer, Alaska, was stopped by an ISP officer at 6:26 p.m. while driving a 2004 Chevy Explorer westbound on I-90 near the Seltice Way underpass. Local agencies had received a tip re: where to find Erickson. The ISP was assisted by the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office and the Coeur d'Alene Police Department.
