Questions For Carousel Fans

Commenter Eddie Torreal offers questions to Carousel supporters and city officials before they get too far along in planning to put the Carousel behind Memorial Field:

  • 1. Once installed, who will own the Carousel? Will it be owned by the city or a private organization? If it's a private organization, will they lease the site from the city?
  • 2. Who will operate the Carousel? The city or a private concession?
  • 3. What will the hours of operation be? Will it operate year-round?
  • 4. Beyond operating expenses, what will funds raised from Carousel operations be used for?
  • 5. If the Carousel doesn't generate sufficient revenue to cover its operating expenses, who makes up the shortfall?
  • 6. What measures, if any, will be used to abate potential noise issues (from the Carousel, not the Fort Grounds Homeowners)?

DFO: Anyone out there have questions re: the planned return of the old Coeur d'Alene Carousel?
