Poll: Supreme Court Split Politically

The majority of Americans think the Supreme Court is split politically, according to a new C-SPAN poll released Tuesday. The online poll, conducted by Penn Schoen Berland (PSB) for C-SPAN from July 1 to July 6, found that two in three Americans believe the recent decisions demonstrate that the justices are split on political grounds. More Americans this time around also voiced support for cameras in the courtroom. In the poll, 76 percent said that the Supreme Court should allow television coverage of its oral arguments, 15 percentage points up from a PSB poll in June 2009/The Hill. More here.

Question: Do you believe the U.S. Supreme Court makes its decisions based on law or politics?
