PM Scanner Traffic — 7.24.15

From St. Maries Gazette re: (crash reported on Scanner Traffic at 10:18 this AM): "Members of the Utah Miata Club were traveling through the area, when one of the drivers over corrected on a curve, landing approximately 20 feet down the same embankment, according to witnesses at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed trapping a man and his wife inside.An extrication crew was called to the scene and both victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Witnesses at the scene reported both victims to be conscious and alert directly following the incident."

  • 2:43 p.m. Speeding/Reckless -- Driver of silver Honda Accord @ e/b I-90/MP 3 (McGuire Road/Post Falls).
  • 2:29 p.m. Protection Order Service -- 900 block of Teton Road/Athol.
  • 2:10 p.m. Grass Fire -- Resident uses water hose to extinguish 20-by-50-foot fire @ 2263 Garwood Road.
  • 1:57 p.m. Help Sought -- Officer on scene wants Streets Department contacted to remove tree (1:40 item).
  • 1:40 p.m. Fallen Tree -- Tree falls across 2 lanes of traffic hitting vehicle @ s/b NW Blvd, north of Hubbard St/CdA.
  • 1:10 p.m. Possible Fatality -- Not much info, may involve crash north of Kootenai Co, Life Flight sent.
  • 12:58 p.m. Fire Call -- Smoke coming from shed on property @ 6th Ave/Post St, Post Falls.
