Reward Offered For Goat Killer

Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the animal abuse that resulted in the death of two goats and the serious injury of a third one.

On July 28th, 2015 at 9:38 am Coeur d’Alene Police officers and animal control officers responded to an animal abuse complaint in the 600 block of Kathleen Ave at the Honeysuckle water well owned by the City of Coeur d’Alene. Officers were informed three small goats had been stabbed by unknown suspect(s). They discovered one small goat deceased at the scene and two other small goats with serious wounds. The deceased goat was nearly decapitated. The owner of the goats, Quintin Forte, was on scene and took custody of the rest of the goats that were still there. Forte has a contract with the City of Coeur d’Alene for weed control on some city properties. The goats are the Bore breed. They were approximately 2 ft. in height and weighed between 30 to 50 pounds. Forte had placed a total of sixteen goats at the site on 072715 at 5:00pm. The City water well is an approximate four acre site that is fenced and has a locked gate. Suspect(s) would have had to climb the fence to gain access to the site.

Anyone who has information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest at 1-800-222-TIPS. Callers are asked to use a code name or number and do not have to give their own name to be eligible for a cash reward.
