Tondee Fired

Former Kootenai County Commissioner Todd Tondee was fired Wednesday from his job in the county’s Grants Management Office. Tondee confirmed the firing. He said he was “raked over the coals” in multiple negative stories in The Press from the time he was hired in February, so he declined further comment about the firing. He was hired as a “transit program specialist,” which was a newly created position. His starting pay was $21.74 per hour. The department is headed by Jody Bieze and overseen by the county commissioners/David Cole, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.
