Hauser Crash Hurts Rathdrum Man

A 63-year-old Rathdrum motorcyclist was injured at 10:50 a.m. today when a vehicle failed to yield the right of way and hit him at the intersection of Highway 53 and Hauser Lake Road, according to a Idaho State Police report. Jerry Mann was ejected from his westbound motorcycle -- and later transported to Kootenai Health by ambulance -- when a 2001 Subaru Forester, driven by Matthew N. Bruch, 27, of Hauser, turned eastbound onto Highway 53 from Hauser Lake Road. An ISP report alleged that Bruch failed to yield the right of way.
