Average teacher salaries in Idaho range widely, from the high of $71,646 in Blane County (Sun Valley) to a low of $31,750 in Pleasant Valley School District. Update: New Sun Dial Placed At McEuen Park This Morning 28 

The McEuen Park area has a new piece of art. The long-anticipated 21-foot-tall sundial near Fifth Street on Front Avenue was installed on Thursday. The art contribution is courtesy of Parkwood Business Properties, which donated $50,000 for the piece. Allied Weldery helped to create the sundial, which was designed by Miller Stauffer Architects.

Souza Rips LCDC Rebranding Cost 25 

State Rep. Mary Souza, R-Coeur d'Alene, told the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee Tuesday night that the $54K rebranding of LCDC wasn't illegal. But she didn't think it was appropriate. Obamacare Ruling Disappoints Crapo 

U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo was disappointed by the 6-3 U.S. Supreme Court ruling in favor of Obamacare. In a statement, he tries to minimize the impact of the ruling: "The court did not rule on the merits of Obamacare, but, rather, on a one sentence provision in a 2700-page ill-advised law. Obamacare is broken—plain and simple." Thoughts?

UI Won't Display Lynching Mural 

The University of Idaho will keep a controversial image inside the old Ada County Courthouse covered for the grand opening of their new campus in July. KIVI-TV reports the mural depicting white settlers lynching a Native American is part of a large painting spread throughout the old courthouse.
