Smith, Rep. Malek Form New Attorney Company

Attorney Luke Malek, left, the state representative from Coeur d'Alene (despite the best efforts by Teapublicans to unseat him), has launched a new law firm with Peter Smith. In a Facebook post, SmithMalek describes the firm's goals:

"Smith + Malek, PLLC provides exceptional legal services at affordable rates. We are constantly developing new ways to more efficiently serve our clients while providing outstanding legal services. Though we may practice law, we are different than other law firms. Our focus is on solutions - not billable hours. If you are looking for a traditional law firm with traditional rates, you won't find them here. We do things differently. How? We pride ourselves on the ability to find solutions, not create bigger problems. We also provide you with a budget before we start working on a project. It is only fair to both you and us to know and understand what it costs to complete a task. If the cost is too high, we will work with you to find another solution. We constantly look for ways to keep costs down. We will even tell you do some of the work yourself, so you don't have to pay us to do it." More here.

Question: Have you ever hired a lawyer?
