Wanted: Lake City Utility Box Artists

(Photo: Coeur d'Alene Today)

The City of Coeur d’Alene Arts Commission is seeking artists for its Utility Box Beautification Project.  The utility boxes, which keep lights flashing and communications running, are undiscovered canvases for artists, graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, and other individuals with the imagination to cover them with their artwork. Box locations have been designated to be enhanced in Coeur d’Alene using an artist’s design to be printed on vinyl and wrapped around the boxes. The design must integrate all sides of a box to capture the interest of those that drive and walk by/Keith Erickson, Coeur d'Alene Today. More here.

Question: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the success of the city's utility box art project?
