Reward Offered In School Fire

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on an arson case reported at a Jr. High School near Harrison. On Feb. 4, at just after noon, KCSO Office responded to a reported fire in the Harrison Junior High on O’Gara Road, south of Harrison.
The fire was started in a bathroom stall and, due to the fire and heavy smoke, students were evacuated and sent home for the day. Several individuals have been interviewed, but at this point have not produced any significant leads to identify the person(s) responsible.
Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for anyone providing information leading to an arrest in this incident. Persons with information should call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or should submit the tip via the Internet website here.
