Diaper Nation Thanks Huckleberries

Troy Moore of the National Diaper Bank Network (RE: DOTC: Don't laugh at doctor needs):

I popping you a quick note to say thanks for taking up the issue of diaper need in your column "DOTC: Don't Laugh At Diaper Needs," earlier this week. We were a bit surprised to see the Idaho Diaper Bank's efforts to obtain legislative recognition for Diaper Need Awareness Week (Sept. 28 - Oct. 4) show up in a debate and subsequent article on giant salamanders. Your first-hand experience in working with families in need of diapers for their infants and todders is extremely valuable. Thank you for doing what you do, and for sharing!  Also, you may be aware that Inland NW Baby, a National Diaper Bank Network member diaper bank, serves families in the Spokane area. The organization does terrific work.  Thanks again for letting your readers know that small things like diapers really do matter to the lives of struggling families and their babies.

Question: Are you beginning to think, as I now do, that National Diaper Need Awareness Week, isn't something to be dismissed with a laugh?
