Uncle Bob Gives Legislature Z+ 10 

Uncle Bob comments that an "F" is too conservative a letter grade for the 2015 Idaho Legislature -- and then goes on to excoriate Idaho politicians for being "Too Hateful to be Great," a play on that old human-rights phrase, "Idaho Is Too Great 4 Hate." Mistaken For A Bank Robber 

One of the great stories about the late Coeur d'Alene attorney Scott Reed occurred in December 2010 when he was mistaken for a bank robber by Coeur d'Alene police. Not only did Scott take the case of mistaken identity in stride, but he wrote a letter to Sgt. Christie Wood commending the officers who handcuffed him. You can read all about it below.

City Playground Upgrade Complete

Renovation of the Fort Sherman Playground was completed Saturday, according to a Coeur d'Alene Today report. Not only was the playground spruced up with sealant and new wood chips, but several of the features were painted to provide some variety of colors to the wooden structure.

Butch Otter had the votes to overturn the goofy House Judiciary & Rules vote against Child Support Enforcement legislation, the librul New York Times & Washington Post weighed in. Ride To Honor Fallen Trooper Huff 

A Boise woman will join the annual Police Unity Tour in memory of one of ISP's five fallen troopers, Linda Huff, who was shot and killed in the line of duty at regional headquarters in Coeur d'Alene on June 17, 1998.Toshi Kempkes will make the 300-mile ride, beginning in East Hanover, N.J., and ending in Washington, D.C.

A new poll conducted for the Idaho Politics Weekly newsletter published by Zion Bank asked Idahoans how they’d grade this year’s legislative session. The results: Just 3 percent gave lawmakers an A, and 16 percent handed them a B. Thirty percent – the largest single group – awarded a grade of C. Question: What grade would you give?

Local GOP Supports Deadbeats, Too 18 

The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee has sent a letter to Gov. Butch Otter, along with a copy of a resolution passed last week, supporting the controversial decision by the House Judiciary & Rules Committee to kill the Child Support Enforcement legislation. Otter has called a special session May 18 to overturn that decision.
