Multi Agencies To Cover CPD Shifts

A multi-agency cooperative detail will be providing law enforcement services to the citizens of Coeur d’Alene today (Saturday). Multiple law enforcement personnel from several local agencies will be handling calls for service and patrolling the city streets of Coeur d’Alene for a 24-hour period beginning at 6 a.m. today, so the officers and staff of the Coeur d’Alene Police are able to attend the funeral services for Sergeant Greg Moore of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty in the early morning hours of May 5. Agencies include the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Post Falls Police Department, Rathdrum Police Department and the Idaho State Police. Deputies, officers and troopers will be working in a cooperative effort to ensure the Coeur d’Alene Police officers have time to grieve the loss of Sgt. Moore as well as provide needed respite to them during this difficult time/Lt. Stu Miller, Kootenai County Sheriff's Office.
