Heather Scott: ‘Something Stinks’

On her Heather Scott for North Idaho Facebook page, Rep. Scott posts a statement that indicates she's not happy with the special session called by Gov. Butch Otter to overturn the vote she and 8 other Idaho House Judiciary & Rules Committee Republicans made to kill Child Support Enforcement legislation:

"Idaho Legislators love Idaho children and want to make sure they are well supported. But something stinks! Governor Otter has vetoed 2 bills this session which would have helped Idaho kids.(1) Why all of a sudden is our Governor and the Health and Welfare Department so interested in calling a special session for a “new & revised” SB 1067? Is this really about kids, money, or is there something more? The Governor, Legislative leadership, and select Judicial and Rules Committee members have been involved in closed door meetings circumventing the public’s involvement and degrading the committee process. Are Legislators who initially voted against the bill being enticed and/or pressured to change their vote? Is the Governor or Leadership smarter than the people of Idaho? Do your Legislators answer to you or the Governor? Full post here.

Thoughts?
