Hospice Thrift Thief Faked Out

On Post Falls PD Facebook, the Day Shift reports on a theft at Hospice Thrift Store: "Manager of the store reports that a fake surveillance camera mounted in the store has been stolen. No suspects and no means of how the camera was reached and stolen are known. The manager advised the officer that the camera was approximately twelve feet up."

Question: So is the thief going to be surprised that the camera is fake? Or did the thief know that it was fake and wanted to end the charade? Inquiring minds want to know.
