Hadian Ran For Washington Guv

Washington political activists with decent memories may  have recognized the name Shahram Hadian when they read staff writer Scott Maben's profile in this morning's paper about the Spokane-area pastor who has played a role in the Idaho Legislature's dispute over a child support law. Hadian was a Republican candidate for Washington governor in 2012. At the time, he was living in Everett and serving as a pastor of a Mill Creek church. He was active in the GOP, and filed for office even though the state party was putting all its efforts behind the candidacy of then-Attorney General Rob McKenna. He ran on a strong Christian conservative, pro-business, pro-state's rights agenda. He finished third, with less than 4 percent of the vote in the primary statewide, but did a bit better in Spokane County, where he had some financial support including $1,600 each from Cindy Zapotocky, former county GOP chairwoman, and her husband John/Spin Control.
