Gookin takes on Regan

"I am happy that I can live my life free from the burden of having to rely upon Brent Regan's advice to win an election."

-- Councilman Dan Gookin, responding to comments by Chairman Brent Regan of the Idaho Freedom Foundation board on the Coeur d'Alene Press Online web story re: Regan's letter to the editor challenging Eden Irgens.

Regan's comment: "12% of the registered voters, now there is a mandate. It will be interesting to see what fraction of that 12% receives the budget busting automatic 5% pay raise. Mr. Gookin must be especially proud of the more than 1,100 people (25%) who did vote but couldn't bring themselves to fill in the circle next to his name."

DFO: I thought these guys were on the same team.
