1st Lady: Idaho can’t refuse refugees

First Lady Lori Otter revealed in a Facebook post that there's little her husband, Gov. Butch Otter, can do to prevent the federal government from relocating Syrian refugees. In response to a Facebook comment by someone named Nate, the First Lady writes:

"You know the situation is a federal one and no amount of grandstanding by a governor is going to change that.. He is doing everything he can - he could be "political" and sAY he could do do more -- that is dishonest and you know it. Read the constitution that you quote only when it is convenient .. The job doesn't work that way .. You don't get to pick and choose what to follow when the questions get hard Nate. People need reassurance and a paper bag to breath into .. They are concerned and scared. They need to know we are doing everything legally possible - and we ARE - I have lost a lot of respect for you on how you have handled this issue."
