UI coaches profane, not rule breakers

Huckleberries received this news release from the University of Idaho:

The University of Idaho has completed its investigation into an anonymous email received in late September alleging complaints about the behavior of certain members of the Vandal football coaching staff. The investigation revealed no NCAA rule violations or major deficiencies in the Vandal football program. The investigation did indicate that coaching staff should avoid the use of profanity in the presence of student-athletes. UI’s Athletic Director will continue to work with coaching staff to ensure improvements are made.

The welfare of our students and student-athletes is our primary concern and as such, the university took the allegations very seriously and acted accordingly to address them. UI initiated an investigation into these allegations in early October. The university’s Internal Audit (IA) unit referred the specific allegations to NCAA compliance (which reports to UI General Counsel) and to the department of Human Resources which monitored the progress of the investigations by each area.
