Last night, the Coeur d'Alene City Council gave unanimous approval to a lease agreement to locate the old Coeur d'Alene Carousel near Memorial Field in the re-make of the Four Corners. On its Facebook page, the Carousel Foundation announced this morning:

"SUCCESS! The CdA City Council unanimously voted in favor of the lease for the Coeur d'Alene Carousel's location near Memorial Field. Local businessman Charles 'Bud' Ford has stepped forward with a matching pledge for our fundraising efforts! He is generously offering to match our efforts up to $500,000. Mr. Ford has been a long time supporter of the carousel and other local projects. Donations can be sent to POB 170 CdA ID 83816. All donations will be matched until December 31st, and are tax deductible. Thanks to all who came out in support last night! Let the fundraising begin!"
