TGIF Wild Card — 10.9.15

The Democratic Club is hosting a candidates' forum at noon today at the Iron Horse. It should be more lively than the one Wednesday night when few punches were thrown -- other than challenger Toby Schindelbeck dissing respected incumbent Ron Edinger as a "good old boy" and incumbent Steve Adams claiming that he speaks for conservative Christians. I was disappointed that challenger Dan English didn't hold Adams accountable for his goofy votes against additional police staffing and patrol cars -- and his one-man wrecking crew stand that almost earned all of us much higher sewer fees. Basically, conservative hardliners are trying to create a foothold on the City Council as they did a few years back with the Coeur d'Alene School Board. Warn your friends and neighbors.
