We have never met, but you obviously don't like me for some reason. I'm really not sure how you can have such a strong opinion about me without having ever spoken to me, but such is life. Based on your comments, you value an elected official, or candidate, who listens to all sides and then makes an informed opinion based on actual information, not ideology.

I would like to appeal to your sense of fairness and ask that you post my part of the debate on your site so that people who were unable to attend can watch what I have to say about the issues. There were less than 30 people in attendance, and I know half of them, so the majority of commenters on your site haven't actually seen the debate and are just going off of your biased comments about me.

Please consider this, because I actually do have the best intentions in this race. As I stated in my debate, I am heavily invested in Coeur d'Alene. I have made a significant monetary investment by opening a business here, and my entire family is here as well. I create jobs here in CDA, and I don't want or need any tax breaks from the city, as many of your commenters have suggested. I am just trying to find alternatives to the URD, and many of these economic development incentives are not my idea- other cities are doing these types of things very successfully.

Here is the link to my portion of the debate with Mr. Edinger. And as I stated in my closing statement, I really do appreciate his 45 years of service. That is very admirable. I hold no ill will towards him, I just want to bring new energy and ideas to CDA. As Ron stated, he hasn't even thought about freezing property taxes as a means of economic development. This is an example of what I am bringing to the table. And how is one to gain any experience without first being elected? Ron had no experience on the council prior to his first election, and neither did many other members of the council, present and past. The democratic process will weed me out if I am elected and don't do a good job for the city, just as it has for many others.

Here is the link. Please post it in the interest of fairness and full disclosure.

Question: I appreciate that Toby reached out to Huckleberries. What do you think? Be fair. Seriously.
