Post Falls PD reports credit card skimmers found at local pumps
The pump function normally and there is no way a customer would know the skimmer is collecting their credit card data.
Two credit card skimmers were found during todays inspection visit.
It is believed that unidentified suspects opened the gas pumps and placed these skimmers to steal customer card numbers.
We are requesting that gas station owners inspect their pumps regularly for these devices and use tamper-proof seals on the pump doors to prevent access. We have attached pictures of the skimmers so gas station owners know what to look for.
