Hump Day Wild Card — 9.2.15

I thought I was dressed appropriately for the hipster Water Avenue Coffee shop in East Portland -- Keens, blue jeans, orange "Life Is Good" T-shirt and semi-matching ball cap -- until Amy Dearest began pointing out the styles around our table. Dark blue is the appropriate color for blue jeans now, cuffs tucked out. Shirts with collars. Hair combed back. Mustaches curled up on the ends. One old-timer about my age had some sort of wrap that attracted a compliment from a younger hipster. Fortunately, when you're in Portland, as we were for four days, nobody pays attention to what you wear. Or at least they pretend not to do so. Here's your Hump Day Wild Card ...
