Kootenai Co joblessness at 4.6%

Kootenai County’s unemployment rate dropped to 4.6 percent in July, down from 5 percent a year ago, according to the Idaho Department of Labor. Other North Idaho counties had improved labor market outlooks in July compared to a year ago, the agency said. Benewah County’s unemployment rate was 6 percent in July; Bonner County, 5.1 percent; Boundary, 4.8 percent; and Shoshone, 6.7 percent. The state of Idaho’s unemployment rate was 3.8 percent in July, down from 4.2 percent a year ago/SR.
